AI use and licensing

Our content is our work. Here's how AI can use it.

Bizbotweb's articles, guides, page copy, images and frameworks are original work owned by Bizbotweb. This page explains what AI systems may do with them, and how to ask for more.

Allowed without asking

Reading to answer a question, with a link back.

  • Search engines may crawl and index this site, including Google and Bing.
  • AI assistants may read pages to answer a person's question in real time, including Claude and ChatGPT, when they summarize briefly and link to the source page.
  • Quoting a short passage with clear attribution to Bizbotweb and a link is fine.

Needs a written license

Training, datasets and reuse at scale.

  • Using our content to train, fine-tune or evaluate an AI model.
  • Adding our content to a dataset, index or product that is sold, shared or resold.
  • Copying, rewriting or republishing our content in bulk, by any automated means.
  • Crawling that ignores our robots.txt, hides who it is, or puts heavy load on the site.

Any of these without a license is not permitted. Automated access that breaks these terms may be blocked and logged.

How to request a license

Tell us who you are and what you need.

Send your company name, the crawler name it uses, what content you want and how you plan to use it. We'll reply with terms.

For crawlers

Identify yourself.

Use a clear user agent that names your company and links to a page about your crawler, and follow our robots.txt. Crawlers that do this are much less likely to be blocked.
